Rules and Regulations
These regulations must be followed to for anyone producing fuel alcohol. Violation of these regulations could result in federal imprisonment, fine, or both.
Denaturing
Ethanol produced on-site can in no way shape or form be used or even remain in a form usable for human consumption. All fuel must be completely denatured by the use of gasoline or another A.T.F. approved denaturing agent. Two percent gasoline is the usual denaturant. Most denaturants do not appear to have an affect on the ethyl ester process.Full list of authorized denaturants can be found here.
