Overview
Methyl esters are produced by the transesterification of vegetable oil with potassium methodoxide or with sodium methodoxide. Potassium ethodoxide is formed by the mixture of methanol and high purity potassium hydroxide (KOH). Sodium methodoxide is formed by the mixture of methanol and high purity sodium hydroxide (NaOH).
